The Department of Psychology has approximately 30 faculty members and 60 graduate students. Faculty have active research programs in many areas of psychology, many of which rely on volunteers from the community.<br><br>Psychology is also part of the interdisciplinary Cognitive and Behavioural Ecology (CABE) program, which offers both the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. Interested students should apply directly to the CABE program.<br><br>The Cognition group has particular strengths in human memory, metamemory, and attention. Dr. Fawcett runs the NeuroFog Lab, which adopts a multifaceted approach to understanding the neurocognitive basis of human memory. Although his research focuses on the mechanisms involved in forgetting unwanted memories, he has also conducted work involving eyewitness memory and is interested in bridging the gap between cognitive and clinical topics.<br><br>MSc – The MSc program involves courses and a thesis and can be completed in two years of full-time study.
