A bachelor's degree from Simon Fraser University or its equivalent from a recognized institution. A cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0/4.33 (B), or a grade point average of at least 3.33/4.33 (B+) based on the last 60 credits of undergraduate courses. All graduate work is also considered. Individual graduate programs may set a higher admission grade point average The minimum requirement for test scores is TOEFL 570 (230 on the computerized test) TWE 5, TOEFL iBT 100 (internet based test), and I.E.L.T.S. overall band score of 7.0.
A BSc in Biology, or related discipline, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required for admission to the MPM program.
Potential students are assessed and admitted to the MPM program using the same procedures as for the MSc program. To apply for admission, access the on-line application system, indicating the semester for which you seek entry, together with official copies of all academic transcripts. In addition, please enclose an up-to-date curriculum vitae, and any evidence of research and professional accomplishment (reprints, manuscripts, theses, abstracts, reports, etc.). Please give careful attention to indicating your current research interests and your proposed supervisor on the application, and, if needed, provide additional details on a separate sheet.

Applicants should also request a confidential evaluation from three referees who are familiar with and are competent to judge the applicant's academic and research potential.

A faculty supervisor must be identified prior to admission to the MPM program. Any research faculty member of the Department of Biological Sciences at SFU can supervise graduate students in the MPM program.
