国际学生入学条件

Please have your academic records from each secondary school you attended for the U.S. equivalent of 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades sent directly from those schools to American University in sealed envelopes or via the Common Application. Students who study in 3-year secondary school systems only need to provide transcripts for those three years.

Internet based test (iBT) score of 85 or higher. Sub-scores for each section of the TOEFL must be 20 or higher.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System)- Composite score of 6.5 or higher. Sub-scores for each section of the IELTS must be 6.0 or higher

Completing an American Studies degree prepares you to enter a range of graduate and professional programs, including law school, doctoral programs, and others. The skills acquired in the program are also useful for work in non-profit organizations, activist groups, media, government, and cultural and artistic fields, to name a few. Our programs explore socio-historical contexts and cultural perspectives that complement other fields of study at AU.<br><br>Washington, DC, is the perfect place to explore American Studies, an interdisciplinary, intersectional approach to understanding American life, politics, and culture. Our program combines student-centered learning and community engagement with courses that examine the latest scholarship in the field. Our faculty are experts in the study of popular culture and discourse, disability studies, immigration studies, carceral studies, Native American studies, and more. Our students complete their own work to understand American institutions and culture with an original capstone project.
