课程简介
The Graduate Certificate in Women's Studies requires 18 hours of course credit. The certificate program is designed for individuals who have an undergraduate degree in women's studies or related fields. Please consult the program director for information on course requirements. It is a program that is designed for families with one or both parents who have had a substance abuse disorder and are in recovery. It teaches the families about life skills, parenting skills, communication skills, anger management etc...They start with a family dinner together and then break out into groups to work on skills. The program teaches the children that this is not their fault. Then the families rejoin with each other for an ending session each night. There is a great deal of multi-generational use when it comes to substance abuse, and this is designed to try and prevent that. It is an evidenced based program that is effective and was designed to reunite families torn apart from substance abuse.<br>We hope to provide another meal next semester.
