The Foreign Language and ESL teacher education and graduate programs are designed to develop leaders in foreign language instruction, research, and education. <br>Foreign Language and ESL Education offers undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education programs. Many of the degree offerings are tailored to the individual and interdisciplinary in nature, with a strong emphasis on education and foreign language mastery. Students in the program choose a focus in a variety of languages. The M.A.T. in Foreign and Second Language Education prepares candidates to be effective and engaging teachers in K-12 public and private settings. The M.A.T. program in Foreign and Second Language Education is designed for superior liberal arts graduates who have had few or no professional education courses. Successful completion of the program leads to elementary and/or secondary teacher licensure. The program has focus areas in Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Latin, Spanish, and Russian.
