You must have completed the following content core requirements for your intended teaching certification area, as regulated by the New York State Education Department, prior to enrollment: Major in the target language or 30 semester hours of coursework in the target language.
We review all applications individually and holistically, but our expectation is that successful candidates for admission to any NYU Steinhardt MA program in teacher education will have a minimum 3.0 undergraduate grade point average. Special consideration may be granted to strong candidates with a GPA below 3.0.
You must have the equivalent of a regionally accredited four-year US bachelor's degree to be considered for admission. Upload one official copy of transcripts from every postsecondary school you have attended or are attending. Successful candidates achieve a band score of 7. Successful candidates score a 100 on the Internet based exam or 600 on the paper based exam.
