课程简介
The Women's Studies program is an interdisciplinary field that aims to help you navigate these questions and others. Drawing upon academic areas such as literature, history, psychology, popular culture, social work, and health sciences, the program crosses and blends the boundaries of traditional disciplines. We analyze the ways in which the study of women and sex/gender as social categories transform our understanding of culture, history, and society. We raise and discuss important questions regarding the ways we have organized ourselves, our chief social, political, economic, and cultural institutions, and our knowledge.

Even though the position of women in our society has visibly altered for the better, women's studies graduates can use their knowledge and insights to increase women's presence in the business and political worlds. Graduates of women's studies programs work as college professors, human rights advocates, victims' advocates, journalists, managers, office supply coordinators, lawyers, women's shelter directors, nurses, midwives, legislative aides, public relations managers, rape crisis program directors, health clinic medical assistants, medical doctors, clinical social workers, health clinic coordinators, and union organizers.
