Political science is the study of government, public policies and political behavior. It uses both humanistic perspectives and scientific skills to examine the United States and all countries and regions of the world. <br>We offer one of the largest majors on campus, with course offerings that span the globe. Our faculty members are active researchers who, through their teaching, seek to develop students who are critical thinkers and effective writers. Our classes attract many students but, in keeping with Wake Forest tradition, we keep our class sizes small. Introductory classes typically enroll no more than 30 students, upper-level classes usually have 20-25 students, seminars are limited to no more than 16 students. We pride ourselves in the individual attention we give to our students. Motivated and qualified students have opportunities to assist and collaborate with faculty members in research projects and/or engage in independent research projects. Our majors go on to work in government, business, law, policy, and non-profits, both here and abroad.
