此特殊课程专为希望早日完成政治学硕士学位的本科生设计。这是一个学术课程，可以使政治学专业的学生在进行全日制学习时，可以在较短的时间内完成文学学士和硕士学位。文学学士/文学硕士课程的学生必须满足政治学学士学位的所有要求。拥有文学学士学位的学生毕业后，将接受入学评估，以继续进入课程的文学硕士阶段。BA / MA课程的学生仍需要通过UIS入学申请政治学硕士学位课程。
This special curriculum is designed for undergraduates who know early on that they would like to complete a Political Science Master's Degree. It is an academic program that makes it possible for a major in political science to complete the B.A. and M.A. degrees in a shortened time period when undertaking full-time study. Students in the B.A./M.A. curriculum must satisfy all the requirements for the B.A. in political science. Upon graduation with the B.A. degree, students are evaluated for admission to continue on in the M.A. phase of the curriculum. Students in the B.A./M.A. program still need to apply to the Political Science Master's Degree program through UIS Admissions. The requirements for the M.A. phase of the B.A./M.A. curriculum are the same as those for the M.A. program, except that up to eight B.A. internship credits can count toward the M.A.. With those reductions, the number of hours required for the M.A. phase is 32.
