UTSA's Politics and Law degree introduces you to subjects like constitutional and administrative law, legal research and writing, political theory and the legislative process. This program will provide you with the knowledge and analytical tools necessary to set you on the course to law school or work in government relations, administrative agencies, law-enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies, attorney's offices, the courts, political campaigns and more.<br>UTSA is all about your success. As a student in the College of Liberal & Fine Arts (COLFA), you will explore, engage and reflect on your experiences to launch your career in a global society. Receive tutoring, find internships, connect with industry professionals for job opportunities, and enhance your professional development skills through the center's comprehensive programming.<br>As part of the College of Liberal and Fine Arts Signature Experience, which seeks to offer students opportunities to apply ideas and knowledge in real-world settings, the Department encourages students to enroll in mentorship courses such as an Internship, Independent Study, Study Abroad, and Research Practicum. Majors may apply 3 or 6 semester credit hours of internship study to their baccalaureate program. Internships entail supervised workplace experience, allowing the integration of academic and practitioner learning. The internship coordinator of the Department of Political Science and Geography oversees placement. Department faculty members provide supervision and grade internship performance.
