The Department of Kinesiology offers the Master of Science degree in Kinesiology. The broad mission of the degree program is to assist students in developing conceptual and theoretical understandings and to obtain knowledge and skills that will prepare them as research/scholars, practitioners, or administrators in their respective areas. Typically, a full-time student will complete the requirements for the degree in two years. The Wellness and Fitness Management track is designed for the practitioner who works with individuals in adopting and maintaining physically active and healthy lifestyle behaviors. The course of study prepares professionals for leadership roles in wellness and physical activity programming for commercial, community, corporate, educational and hospital organizations.
