The Department of Psychology has approximately 30 faculty members and 60 graduate students. Faculty have active research programs in many areas of psychology, many of which rely on volunteers from the community. Psychology is also part of the interdisciplinary Cognitive and Behavioural Ecology (CABE) program, which offers both the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. Interested students should apply directly to the CABE program.<br><br>Core faculty in the Health and Wellness program conduct research related to health psychology. Current faculty research interests include: eating disorders and obesity; psychological factors affecting medical conditions; chronic disease management; health behaviour change; chronic pain; substance use and addictive behaviours; sleep and health; psycho-oncology; first-episode psychosis; and health promotion.<br><br>PhD – The PhD program involves courses, a comprehensive exam, and a thesis, and can be completed in four years of full-time study.
