Certified, translated copies of all transcripts, mark sheets, and diplomas from your school. Mississippi State recommends all school credentials from non-U.S. institutions be submitted through a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services member (NACES member agency, https://www.naces.org/members) for a course-by-course evaluation with grade point average calculation. MSU's preferred transcript evaluation service is TEC or MyIEE.
An official ACT score of 20 or higher, or SAT score of 1030 (only if your GPA is below 3.0 based on our evaluation of your transcripts OR if you are applying for scholarships).
International undergraduate students applying to Mississippi State University must demonstrate English language proficiency in order to register for academic courses. The following methods of a demonstration are approved:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum band score of 6.0.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): minimum 525 for paper-based test, 197 for computer-based test, and 71 for Internet-based test
English portion of the ACT: minimum 19.

The Food and Nutrition concentration is in the Food Science, Nutrition and Health Promotion major, and is an accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD). It focuses on the study of nutrients in food and their relationship to health and disease. Individuals with a degree in nutrition may be employed with state agencies, in food service, or with major food manufacturers. Many settings require individuals to hold the credential of registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). Registered dietitian nutritionists are nutrition experts who apply the science of nutrition by utilizing nutrition knowledge to promote health and/or treat disease. Registered dietitian nutritionists, sometimes referred to as registered dietitians or simply dietitians, work in hospitals, clinics, community settings, private consulting practices, sports nutrition and corporate wellness programs, food and nutrition-related businesses and industry, pharmaceutical companies, and more.
