课程简介

The study of history is an important path to informed and effective citizenship. Its emphasis on broad knowledge, critical reading, careful judgment and precise writing offers excellent pre-professional preparation for a wide range of careers in business, public service, the law, teaching, the military, the ministry, journalism, and library and museum employment. The School of Education and Human Services (SEHS) and the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) offer a fifth-year secondary teacher education program (STEP) leading to recommendation for Michigan secondary provisional teacher certification. This certification is valid for teaching content area majors and minors in grades 6-12.
