Applicants must submit official transcripts for all undergraduate and any graduate work. To be eligible for admission, your transcript must show an earned bachelor's degree or a bachelor's degree in progress. Certified copies of transcripts are acceptable, faxed copies of transcripts are not considered official. If you attended Loyola University Chicago previously, you do not need to request transcripts, we have them on record. Copies of transcripts or transcripts not received in a sealed envelope from the university are considered unofficial. If you attended Loyola University Chicago previously, you do not need to request transcripts. We strongly encourage electronic submission of documents. Official transcripts should show a GPA of 3.0 or higher. In exceptional cases, applicants whose undergraduate GPA is below 3.0 may be admitted.

The Master of Arts in Counseling for Ministry program at Loyola's Institute of Pastoral Studies (IPS) offers exceptional preparation for those looking to become impactful caregivers in their present and future ministries.<br>In today's world, the need for effective and compassionate therapeutic care is as intense and dynamic as it's ever been. As a student in this program you will be prepared to help meet that need with competencies borne from religious traditions and from the long and rich history of ministry of care, or in Jesuit terms, cura personalis.<br>The MA in Counseling for Ministry is a 36-credit program that can be completed full- or part-time, with courses that can be completed online or on-campus.<br>The program's competency requirements mirror those of Loyola's 60-credit MA in Pastoral Counseling program, but without the additional requirements for state licensure in Illinois as a clinical counselor.<br>While courses for the Counseling for Ministry MA program may vary from semester to semester, Loyola's extensive Academic Catalog will always house the official listing of courses, programs of study, academic policies, degree requirements, and specialization or concentration options.<br>Additionally, this resource will provide Counseling for Ministry MA learning outcomes, showcasing the commitment to specific skills and growth graduates can expect to achieve following completion of the program.
