International applicants are required to have completed a preparatory program that leads to university entrance in their own country. Generally, an academic language arts course and a minimum of four additional university-preparatory courses are required. A university preparatory math course is required for students applying to the Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Business Administration programs. Students applying for our Bachelor of Science will also be required to have a university-preparatory course in Biology and Chemistry.
Secondary school applicants need to have achieved in their final year of schooling an average of 70% (5 best scoring academic subjects).
Applicants who are looking to transfer from another post-secondary institution are required to have an overall GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.3 scale).
IELTS Academic: minimum overall score of 6.5 with no area less than 6.0. (International English Language Testing System)
TOEFL-IBT: minimum 90 overall, minimum 21 in each area. (Internet-Based Test)
TOEFL-CBT: minimum 236 overall, minimum TWE 4.5. (Computer-Based Test)
TOEFL-PBT: minimum 580 overall, minimum TWE 4.5. (Paper-Based Test)
CAN-Test: minimum 4.5 overall, minimum 4.0 in each area. (Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainees)
CAEL: minimum band 70 overall, minimum 60 in each area. (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment)
CLB: minimum 9 overall, minimum 8 in each area. (Canadian Language Benchmarks)
Duolingo: minimum 115 overall, minimum 95 in each area
Cambridge English Scale: minimum overall score of 176 from C1 Advanced. No less than 169 in any paper.
PTE (Pearson) Academic: minimum score of 56 overall

The Biblical Studies major gives students an opportunity to study the Christian Bible in deeper, more expansive ways than most have even undertaken. You will delve into its rich chapters in a literary, historical and theological manner, while exploring the ancient text's contemporary relevance. Through the course of your study, you will gain a knowledge and appreciation for the languages of the Bible, both Greek and Hebrew. You will uncover the meanings of the Bible's original language versus the translations or paraphrased versions that the average person might read.<br><br>An excellent preparation for seminary study, the Biblical Studies major also imbues students with a new and deeper appreciation for the text that is at the heart of the Christian faith.<br>Youll have the opportunity to dig into the context and content of the Bible, the Christian faith, and other religions as well in conversation with renowned scholars and teachers who bring a wide range of personal and professional experience to the classroom. Here is a place in which you can ask your hardest questions about the biggest issues of life and get reliable, insightful answers.<br><br>Religious studies students, like other humanities and social science graduates, are trained to interpret texts, rituals, art, and communities with rigor and sensitivity. Students are equipped for study and work in pastoral ministry, yes, but also for careers in education, government work, Law, international relations, diplomacy, social service, library science, and much more.
