Please submit 3 letters of recommendation. Please do not submit additional letters as they will not be reviewed. Please submit a CV that provides an overview of the following content areas (as relevant): 1) relevant educational experiences 2) awards/honors/fellowships 3) relevant research experiences, including published scientific papers/pre-prints and conference presentations, research skills and experience with research methods 4) relevant clinical experiences 5) leadership/service/advocacy/ commitment to diversity activities. An undergraduate background in psychology with at least 24 semester hours in psychology is preferred. Courses in statistics and in research methods, or the equivalent, are required. Please note that unofficial transcripts may be submitted, however official transcripts are required upon acceptance.

Your personal statement should address the following questions. Please keep your comments to no more than 2 pages, single-spaced.
For the TOEFL, a minimum score of 79 on the iBT
For the IELTS, a minimum score of 6.0 is required.

The clinical psychology PhD program at Loyola University Chicago adheres to the scientist-practitioner model of clinical training and is designed to develop skilled, creative professionals prepared to succeed in a variety of settings (e.g., clinical, research, academic). The program strives to provide a balance of training and experience in research, clinical work, and teaching. The mission of the program is to provide students with a strong foundation in general psychology along with training focused on the integration of research and practice of clinical psychology. Students are exposed to a range of clinical training and research, with an orientation toward social justice applications of both research and practice. Located in Chicago, Illinois, students have access to a variety of community-based research and clinical externship opportunities. Formal specialization is available in the area of clinical child psychology and/or neuropsychology. Specifically, the program seeks to enable its students to develop the following proficiencies:<br>Learning Outcomes<br>Knowledge of the substantive content in the field of clinical psychology<br>Knowledge of theories and methodological approaches in psychology<br>Design and implementation of psychological research<br>Specialized knowledge of clinical assessment, treatment, and psychopathology, including integration of research and practice<br>Effective communication of psychological information across contexts<br>Knowledge of and adherence to the ethical standards of the profession<br>Awareness and integration of intersectional dimensions of diversity and individual differences in the application of psychological principles and approaches
