The Classical Studies major at UNC Greensboro explores the civilizations, archaeology, languages, and literature of the ancient Greek and Roman worlds. Students may choose from three concentrations: Classical Civilization, Classical Archaeology, or Classical Language and Literature.<br><br>PROGRAM DISTINCTIONS<br>Our program offers undergraduate research opportunities with faculty mentors, as well as an archaeological field school in Greece and a faculty-led short-term study abroad program in Rome.<br>UNCG's Classical Studies BA is the largest such program in North Carolina that focuses exclusively on undergraduate education, and we are proud of the rigorous and supportive learning environment that we provide for our students.<br>The Classical Society hosts an annual Classics Day, a fall tradition on campus that draws hundreds of students from local high schools to learn about ancient civilizations and compete in events.<br>Six of our faculty members have won university teaching awards.
