English 12 and four other university preparatory courses
Students who complete the International Baccalaureate IB Diplomawith a minimum score of 24 will be considered for admission.
Minimum grade requirement for any subject is 3.
Students can submit predicted or anticipated results for early fall admission and scholarship purposes.
For high school students the minimum admission requirements include an overall average of 70 percent in Grade 12 with no grade below 65 percent in each of the required subjects Admissions to limited enrolment programs is competitive meeting the minimum average does not guarantee admission.
Please note students who are currently in grade 12 applying for early admissionmust have the program requirements in grade 11 and be registered in the program prerequisites in grade 12 to be eligible for an early offer Otherwise offers will be made after receipt of final first term grade 12 transcript.
IELTS - 6.5 overall and no lower than 6.0 in each band.
TOEFL - 90 iBT and no lower than 20 in each band.
CAEL - 70 overall and no lower than 60 in each band.
Pearson Test of English - Academic - 60 overall with no score below 50.

As one of the few universities in North America offering the study of Celtic languages, literature, and history of the Celts from about 800 BC to present, you willhave unique opportunity to learnin this broad field at either the BA or MA level. <br><br>Celtic Studies has as its corethe languages, literatures, cultures, and historiesof Celtic-speaking peoples, from the Continental Celts of ancient Gaul to the modern survivals in Scotland, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Wales, Cornwall,and Brittany. Itextends into a range of topics, including archaeology, art, music, literature, folklore, religion, dance, immigration, ethnic and medieval studies.<br><br>Situated in the Highland Heart of Nova Scotia, you will study in a department with a strong history connected with the Scottish Gaelic language and where a wide variety of courses are offered in Celtic civilization, the Gaelic folklore of Ireland and Scotland, and medieval Gaelic and Welsh language and literature. Youll learn from faculty who are leading researchers in the history, language, and literature of Gaelic communities in North America and Scotland and the medieval language and literature of Ireland and Wales.<br><br>StFX undergraduate and master's students produce research papers and dissertations, and creative projects. They have become leading lights in the revival and development of Gaelic in both Scotland and Canada. The Celtic Student Society (An Comunn Ceilteach) is one of StFX's most active societies.
