A statement in Spanish of 1-2 pages stating why you are interesting in completing the Graduate Certificate in Spanish as a Heritage Language
A letter of support from the applicant's supervisor/department chair/principal and names and contact information for 2 references
The minimum TOEFL score required is 79 for the internet-based test.
The minimum TOEFL score for the paper-based (pBT) exam is 550 or higher.
The minimum TOEFL score for the new revised paper-based exam is: Reading 20, Listening 20, and Writing 20.
The minimum IELTS score required is an overall score of a 6.5.

课程简介

The certificate would allow direct entry to those who seek some graduate-level work to enhance their knowledge and skills in particular areas but who are not interested in earning a graduate degree. Upon completion of the certificate, those participants interested in continuing their graduate studies will be able to apply to the M.A. program in Spanish, and if accepted, petition for the credits to be counted toward the master's course load. The certificate would allow direct entry to those who seek some graduate-level work to enhance their knowledge and skills in particular areas but who are not interested in earning a graduate degree. Upon completion of the certificate, those participants interested in continuing their graduate studies will be able to apply to the M.A. program in Spanish, and if accepted, petition for the credits to be counted toward the master's course load. After completing the program's four courses, students currently enrolled in the Spanish M.A. or Ph.D. programs will be granted the SHL Certificate.
