The Master of Arts in Spanish program at Worcester State University helps you further develop your understanding of-and appreciation for-the cultures and literatures of Spanish-speaking nations. With part-time, evening, and online classes, our flexible program is designed for working professionals like you, allowing you to advance your career at your own pace. As the only university in Central Massachusetts with a graduate program in Spanish, WSU offers you a diverse array of classes, ranging from the study of language acquisition to the exploration of literatures and cultures of Spain and Latin America. We also offer a unique, 3-week summer immersion experience at the Benemerita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in Puebla, Mexico, where you can take classes and explore local culture. You'll demonstrate your mastery of program coursework through the completion of a thesis or comprehensive examination in Spanish-and, in recent years, students and professors who have collaborated on research have presented their findings at academic conferences.
