We have rolling admission, which means we can admit students to WKU close to the start of each semester; however, we recommend that students apply at least two months before the start of their semester to ensure they have enough time to receive an I-20, student visa, housing, and scholarship information.

Chinese is the modern language with the oldest, continuously written language in the world. At the current pace of growth, China will surpass the U.S. to become the world's largest economy in 20 years. A variety of career options will be open to those who have solid Chinese language skills: university scholars, teachers, international affairs, law, diplomacy, international business and trade. The Chinese Program in the Department of Modern Languages offers major and minor programs in Chinese. The majorminor programs were started in spring 2014. By summer 2016, over 60 students had declared a major in Chinese. We have four faculty members who support your learning of Chinese language and culture. Our
