The ability to respond effectively to cultural diversity is essential in the 21st century. The immersive Language and Intercultural Relations degree program at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) will teach you intercultural empathy, and help you understand and facilitate communication between cultures. The linguistic proficiency and cultural intelligence you gain will prepare you to tackle challenges in a variety of professional sectors. All students choose options in either French, Spanish or Speech Science. Experiential learning opportunities: Co-op available. In addition to your second language and experience from optional paid co-op placements, you’ll graduate with competencies in research, analysis, leadership and problem-solving. All of these skills are needed to enter and thrive in a global market and workforce. The Language and Intercultural Relations degree program is one of 12 bachelor of arts programs that share a one-year foundation.
