A four-year honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of studies such as mathematics, statistics, applied statistics, biostatistics, quantitative psychology, or any other discipline with a strong background in mathematics or statistics
A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (USask grade system equivalent) in the last two years of full-time study (e.g. 60 credit units USask equivalent).

The M.A. in Applied Linguistics is a 2 year research based master of arts program. The Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics involves coursework (five three-credit-units courses) in the areas of Linguistics and Applied Linguistics plus writing and defending an MA thesis based on individual research. Graduate students pursue original research on national and minority languages and linguocultures of Saskatchewan and Canada, as well as the research on languages and language teaching throughout the world. In particular, we are interested in research projects related to sociolinguistics, language maintenance in Canada and abroad, heritage languages of Canada, morphology, syntax, phonetics, TESOL, secondforeignnative language acquisition, and other areas listed below. Students can also make inquiries about other possible areas of language-related studies.
