Possess the equivalent of a U.S. high school/secondary diploma.
Submit official SAT/ACT scores.
As a freshman applicant, you must provide the Office of International Admissions & Programs (OIAP) with the equivalent of transcripts and secondary diploma from your home country.
If you are entering UHCL with prior university credit, you must also provide OIAP with official transcripts, individual mark/grade sheets (showing all passes and fails) and confirmation of degrees or diplomas for all academic studies attempted and completed at other college/universities.
Official International English Language System (IELTS) scores of 6.0 or higher, TOEFL - scores of 79, TOEFL exam - 550 on the paper-based TOEFL exam,

The Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural Studies and Global Studies program examines the relationships among culture, diversity and power in the U.S. and in a global context. The program emphasizes the study of differences and inequalities structured by race, gender, ethnicity, class, sexuality and nationality. It develops an understanding of social and political conflict and strategies of conflict resolution. Cross-Cultural and Global Studies is an interdisciplinary program drawing from disciplines as diverse as anthropology, history, literature, and sociology. By exploring similar questions in diverse disciplines and using a range of methodological approaches, students gain an understanding of the complexities of culture and diversity. The program emphasizes religion, gender, human rights, and immigration. Focusing on contemporary and historical issues, courses provide theoretical and practical training that may be applied in a variety of fields, including non-profit, legal, service, religious, and educational institutions.<br>University of Houston-Clear Lake's classes use an interdisciplinary approach to consider experiences and inequalities based on race, gender, ethnicity, class, sexuality and nationality.
