Understanding the big questions in life and how to apply them to the real worldthat's what you can expect from a degree in philosophy from Ball State. If you constantly ask the question Why and seek wisdom and truth, this program is an ideal fit for you. Youll graduate understanding the major issues of lifeincluding right and wrong, justice, freedom, beauty, knowledge, and truthand youll be well prepared for a variety of career fields. Courses include topics on current and historical foundations of philosophy. You will engage in academic study on such subjects as logic, ethics, philosophy and religion, and contemporary and historical theories on philosophy. The truth is that philosophy majors are among the best prepared for the diversity of careers and tasks in our modern world.
