Official Transcripts and/or Secondary School Exams - Review Requirements by Country section to determine the required secondary school documentation by country.
Admitted students are required to submit final secondary school (high school) transcripts and/or proof of degree completion (A-Levels, WAEC, CBSE, High School Certificate, etc.) before enrolling at DePaul.
TOEFL - 80 on the IBT TOEFL with no subsection lower than 17 , IELTS Academic - 6.5 on the IELTS Academic, SAT - minimum evidence based reading and writing score of 550, ACT - minimum reading score of 18 and English score of 20.

In the Philosophy program, you will gain an understanding of the history of philosophy, philosophical issues regarding law, medicine and business, as well as the basic problems posed by diverse thinkers. You will also develop analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills while analyzing both the humanistic and technical features of philosophy. Regardless of your career goals, a degree in Philosophy will provide you with excellent tools and skills in critical thinking, analyzing content from various perspectives, verbal and written communication, and having the ability to form arguments and take a position on an issue. Philosophy is the enterprise of examining and interrogating the foundational concepts that structure human existence?concepts such as happiness, the good life, human community, freedom, and the self. It entails the cultivation of critical thinking skills, careful questioning, and an appreciation of the rich history of human thought on these and other key issues, as reflected in the texts of great philosophers from Plato and Aristotle to Hegel, Nietzsche, and beyond.
