All applicants must disclose any prior attendance at a university or other postsecondary institution in Canada or abroad regardless of whether they are seeking transfer credit Failure to disclose this information may result in a rejection of the student's application or subsequent suspension from UNB.
Newly admitted students who have completed IB courses in high school may be eligible for advanced standing transfer credit toward their studies at UNB To apply for transfer credit please ensure your official results are sent directly from the International Baccalaureate Organization to UNB Only courses that are completed at the Higher-Level HL are eligible for transfer credit.

Philosophy investigates many of the big questions of life: what is a human being. Are there such things as justice, beauty or God. What counts as knowledge. Investigating these and other questions, such as the nature of time, the relation between body and mind, how we define good and bad, is a conversation that draws from great thinkers-past and present. This is a discipline that challenges each of us to think about these kinds of problems critically, creatively and systematically.<br><br>The UNB program encourages you to complicate and clarify your thought through close and critical reading of great thinkers, engaged discussion in seminar settings, and challenging writing opportunities through sustained writing- mentoring.
