You’ll learn critical analysis and research skills, and can participate in hands-on experiential learning opportunities such as team-based and community projects, an international exchange or a guaranteed fellowship. Your experiences both inside and outside of the classroom mean you’ll be ready to apply key insights from the past to solve the real-world problems of today and tomorrow. With its sustained and systematic plan of study in Philosophy, the option has two general objectives. First, it encourages students to read and think about philosophical issues and problems in an active and critical manner. Second, it provides students with an understanding of, and appreciation for, the contributions made by some of the greatest thinkers of the past and present.
