IELTS - Overall: 6.5, Each Section: 6.0
An International Baccalaureate grade of 4 or higher in English A1 or A2 at the Higher Level or Standard Level or English B at the Higher Level is required for admission (predicted or actual).
Graduation from a U.S. high school and completion three (3) full years of regular English (non-ESL) course work with a grade point average of 2.5 in those courses. Students who have attended at least two (2) years of high school in the U.S. (at the time of application) are also expected to submit an ACT or SAT and meet our freshman admission standards.
Submission of ONE of the following test scores:
a) 21 or higher on the ACT English
b) 520 or higher on the SAT I Evidence-based Reading and Writing (if taken after March 2016)
c) 500 or higher on the SAT I Verbal (if taken prior to March 2016)
An ACT or SAT score is not required, unless you have attended at least two (2) years of school in the U.S. at the time of application or wish to apply for a scholarship.

The School of Journalism and Mass Communication is accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC). Our program offers a curriculum that introduces students to the broad framework of mass communication, emphasizing what is common and fundamental to advertising, digital media, electronic media, journalism and public relations.The mission of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication is to pursue excellence. Our programs strive to cultivate strong professional, research, theoretical, critical and ethical skills in a diverse and engaging environment that prepares students to be socially responsible media professionals, scholars and citizens. Students may earn a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication or a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Advertising and Mass Communication, Digital Media Innovation and Mass Communication, Electronic Media and Mass Communication, Journalism and Mass Communication, or Public Relations and Mass Communication.<br><br>The digital media landscape has undergone unprecedented change over the past decade due to the emergence of the Internet, Web, mobile technologies and social media. Mass audiences have given way to communication ecosystems where parties both consume and produce, and media strategy includes ways to engage audiences, analyze data and propose new models for generating revenue. New devices are changing the location of content consumption and creation in our highly visual, always-on, always-connected world.<br><br>The Digital Media Innovation and Mass Communication (DMI) major immerses students in the breadth of digital knowledge to prepare them for new and emerging media roles. The DMI degree is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) -designated program, a federal designation defined by the Department of Homeland Security. It is the only program in the College of Fine Arts and Communication with the STEM designation, integrating communication, media and technology. STEM skills are in high demand, and STEM-based careers offer unique opportunities for those who demonstrate this hybrid of strong communication expertise and advanced technology savvy. The emphasis of the major is on strategic and problem-solving skills that will serve graduates throughout their digital media careers.
