The Master of Arts in Public Relations at Hofstra University is designed to educate students in the fast-evolving strategic communications field. It emphasizes leadership, critical thinking, management, research, and the skills needed for writing and using communications tools and best practices required within the public relations (PR) profession. The program prepares students to assume specialized public relations positions and management-level roles and responsibilities. Our 30-credit program emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving, exceptional writing skills, and proficiency in digital platforms necessary for your success as a public relations professional. This program, which can be completed in as little as three semesters, features on-campus classes and occasional online offerings. Internships are available and numerous networking and mentoring opportunities through professional organizations play a key role in our program. Concentrations in either Reputation and Crisis Management or Marketing are options.
