Official transcripts from a high school or other secondary school in English are required for all students.
If you wish to transfer credits from another college or university, make sure to indicate that you are a transfer student on the application and forward your college transcripts, also. You will receive an evaluation of your credits during Orientation.
IUP is able to offer admission to students at varying levels of academic achievement and preparation. If you are looking for a benchmark, here is some info. Most students who earn admission to IUP meet or exceed these scores:

For journalists, words are like tools that are always at their fingertips. They use them to tell the news, to share stories that touch readers, and to help businesses communicate with the public.<br><br>As a Journalism and Public Relations major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, youll learn the craft of writing, from finely tuning your sentence structure to weaving together a compelling news or feature story. Youll grow as a writer, polishing your skills to prepare for your career.<br><br>As a Journalism and Public Relations major, youll also have a lot of control over the classes youll take. You're required to take only six main journalism classes. Youll design the rest of your major coursework with the help of your advisor, choosing from courses that focus on news, public relations, advertising, document design, and other areas. An internship is highly recommended.<br><br>In addition to flexibility in your major courses, youll have a generous number of free electives, giving you the opportunity to add a double major, minor, or concentration to make you more competitive in the job market.
