The School of Communication and Media offers a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Television and Digital Media (TVDM) with a Concentration in Sports Media and Journalism. By combining a solid liberal arts education with coursework in multi-platform media production, students are exposed to, and are prepared for, diverse careers in the ever-changing fast-paced industry of sports media. The emphasis of Sports Media and Journalism is on the writing, producing and directing of solid media content. What's more, access to state-of-the-art facilities in the Du Mont Television Center and multimedia news room in the new SCM building, enables students to learn on equipment used in the industry today. Students also have access to local media professionals who work on campus through the New Jersey News Commons, which connects news-gathering operations across the state.
