You’ll learn- to find the essence of any story you report, and to write the story to communicate the key facts effortlessly and effectively, to report for clarity and factuality, adhering to proper Associated Press style and maintaining journalistic integrity with rigorous editing and fact-checking, to understand the ins and outs of communications law, the First Amendment and how it all applies to the world of journalism. The news reporting and editing concentration will provide you with the skills to think critically, creatively and independently, whether your ambition is to be a writer, designer, editor, photographer, anchor or producer.
