The Combined Degree Program allows students to complete 12 graduate credit hours while still enrolled in their undergraduate program. These graduate credit hours will count toward both the undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Undergraduate students from any major across DePaul University can apply to the Journalism combined degree program. The College of Communication offers several combined degree programs to undergraduate students who have achieved a high level of academic success and are interested in earning both a BA or BS and an MA in an accelerated period. Most students complete the combined degree program in five years. As a journalism major, you will develop a skill set that prepares you for a career as a multimedia content producer and video storyteller. Because the field of journalism is constantly evolving with the use of new technology, you will learn about industry trends and how to use professional equipment, software and online tools.
