Certified, translated copies of all transcripts, mark sheets, and diplomas from your school. Mississippi State recommends all school credentials from non-U.S. institutions be submitted through a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services member (NACES member agency, https://www.naces.org/members) for a course-by-course evaluation with grade point average calculation. MSU's preferred transcript evaluation service is TEC or MyIEE.
An official ACT score of 20 or higher, or SAT score of 1030 (only if your GPA is below 3.0 based on our evaluation of your transcripts OR if you are applying for scholarships).
International undergraduate students applying to Mississippi State University must demonstrate English language proficiency in order to register for academic courses. The following methods of a demonstration are approved:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum band score of 6.0.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): minimum 525 for paper-based test, 197 for computer-based test, and 71 for Internet-based test
English portion of the ACT: minimum 19.

Print & Digital Journalism offers courses in writing, editing, photography, reporting, digital storytelling, ethics and law. The concentration maintains a focus on fundamental skills, such as clear and concise writing, evidence-based reporting, deadline orientation and editing while enhancing student knowledge and experience in the practices of production and publishing in a converged digital environment. We emphasize platform integration throughout our curriculum, culminating in the senior capstone experience, Bulldog Online Newsroom.<br><br>Our graduates are immediately competitive applicants for positions at newspapers, magazines and digital publications in the state and around the country and also obtain news-related jobs in universities, business and industrial relations, extension service and government. P&DJ alumni are employed by diverse publications such as the Los Angeles Times, the Houston Chronicle, Mississippi Today, Sports Illustrated, the Tennessean, the Columbus Commercial-Dispatch, the Starkville Daily News, and many others.
