The Master of Social Work program at the Silver School of Social Work offers opportunities to study policy and community practice as well as global social work, including study abroad courses. Our esteemed faculty, which includes leading scholars, are trailblazers and working professionals who bring both academic and real-world experience into the classroom.

The Advanced Standing Program is an accelerated route to the MSW Program. Those who have graduated within the past 5 years of a CSWE-accredited undergraduate social work program are eligible to apply. Study is nearly, but not exactly, identical to the Specialized Practice level (2nd year) of the Two-Year pathway. The period of study is two semesters: fall-spring, including 600 hours of practicum education for students beginning practicum prior to Fall 2025. Students beginning practicum in Fall 2025 or later will complete 450 hours of practicum education. Advanced Standing students have the option of taking Diversity, Racism, Oppression, and Privilege as one of their two electives. If you wish to do so, speak to your Academic Advisor about it.
