Successful completion (with a grade of C or higher) of at least one course in each of the following categories:
Humanities (examples: fine arts, history, languages, literature, philosophy, or religion),
Physical and Biological Sciences (examples: biology, chemistry, anatomy, or physiology)
Mathematics (examples: calculus, college algebra, computer science, or statistics),
Social Sciences (examples: anthropology, economics, ethnic studies, gender studies, human development, international relations, political science, psychology, social work, or sociology)
The GRE is not required for admission to this program.

Three letters of recommendation that must have been written within the last academic year. Letters from co-workers, colleagues, mentors, friends, family members, clergy, etc. WILL NOT be considered. Please submit your application even if you do not have your letters of recommendation. These letters can be attached to your application once they have been received, but they still must be submitted by the application deadline. Applicants must provide a letter of recommendation from each of the following:
Academic: A professor from a previously attended college/university who taught you in a course. Letters from Field Seminar Instructors will not be accepted as academic letters. Recommendations from full-time faculty are strongly encouraged. Letters from advisors will not be considered unless indicated that they also taught you as a student.
Employment: Letter from immediate supervisor of either volunteer or paid work experience.
Third recommendation: A second academic or employment-based recommendation should be submitted for the third recommendation.
All applicants for graduate study at the University of Central Florida must hold a U.S. bachelor's degree, or its equivalent, from a regionally accredited or governmentally recognized institution of higher learning. This is the minimum requirement for admission to a graduate program at UCF. International students applying to programs requiring an outside Course-by-Course Evaluation with GPA calculation must submit a course-by-course evaluation of their official transcripts from a credential evaluation service recommended by UCF. This course-by-course evaluation must show a GPA that is equivalent to a 3.0 from an earned degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree.

The Master of Social Work (MSW) program prepares you to become a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) to provide mental health services to individuals, families, and groups. No matter what area of social work you want to go into, our program provides you with the knowledge and experience needed to best support others.<br><br>UCF offers several tracks that provide you with the convenience and flexibility to best fit your schedule and needs. This includes an advanced standing track for those with a BSW degree from an accredited program awarded within the last six years, and a traditional track for those who have a bachelor's degree in any other area. You can complete an online Master of Social Work or in-person.<br><br>Internships are the pedagogy of social work education. Our field education office connects you with an internship to provide you with critical hands-on experience and professional practice hours through supervised generalist and clinical social work. The UCF MSW program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and is devised to provide you with all the requirements for licensure in the state of Florida.
