Applicants are required to demonstrate successful completion of a bachelor’s degree (or degree in-progress*) from a regionally accredited college or university. An academic transcript is required from any institution where 6 or more credit hours have been completed.

Three letters of recommendation from professional and/or academic colleagues are required. You will be asked to identify three recommenders and their contact information (including email) in the online application portal.

Our two-year, 60-credit Master of Social Work degree prepares you with the fundamentals you need to enter the professionalfield, while providing the advanced analytical, problem-solving and team-building skills to thrive in your career. Our program is designed to prepare students to connect theory to practice, bolstered by real-world learning experiences and research opportunities.<br><br>This specialization prepares students for leadership in human service, governmental and non-profit organizations. Within two to three years of graduation, most social workers take on some management responsibilities, such as supervision, budget management, program planning or committee work. Others actively seek mid- or senior management roles in areas such as volunteer management, program planning and evaluation, community relations, fundraising, foundation work or corporate social responsibility. Faculty who teach our management courses are highly skilled, experienced human service CEOs and senior executives who bring real-life experience to the classroom. Coursework teaches students to assess organizational performance and implement best practices, as well as train for financial management responsibilities, supervision of employees and volunteers, fundraising and grant writing. Marketable skills gained within this specialization enhance the future career and financial advancement opportunities for alumni.
