As a social service worker, you assist clients in dealing with personal and social problems by delivering counselling, community services and social support programs. Over 650 hours of practical field placement experience, supported by a field placement officer and often leading to employment. Hands-on experiential learning through case studies, video simulations and small group discussions. Program responds to changes in the social services field using an anti-oppressive approach. Unique bridge opportunities to Bachelor's Degree in social work pathways through Niagara University, University of Waterloo and Wilfred Laurier University. Certification in non-violent crisis intervention is available.
