The admission requirements are as follows:
Hold a 4-year general bachelor's degree or a specialized bachelor's degree in social sciences, health sciences, or the equivalent.
Have maintained an average of at least B.
Have experience in social service or social work or related to the profession.
Have obtained a minimum of six credits in research methods or the equivalent.
Demonstrate your ability to pursue higher education in French. A language proficiency test may be required.
Demonstrate your ability to pursue professional studies (see the section entitled Documents in the admission file ).
Present a training project specifying the field of study envisaged, the proposed research problem as well as the planned internship experience.
Holders of a bachelor's degree with a specialization in social services or social work can obtain equivalences.

The master’s program in social work offers professional training focused on the analysis of social inequality, minority contexts and the needs and characteristics of the French-speaking population in Ontario.<br><br>The aim of the program is to prepare social workers to assume a leadership role in terms of the development, delivery and evaluation of practices and social policies. The program also aims to promote, through social action, the recognition of the rights of marginalized populations or of those living in minority contexts, as well as their access to social services.<br><br>The master’s program aims to train “practitioner-researchers” who will acquire analytical and critical thinking related to the practice of social work and the knowledge associated to it.<br><br>The School of Social Work aims to achieve these objectives through a research-intervention dynamic in the two following fields of study: family-child and health.
