Successful completion of the first year of the Hospitality and Tourism Management program.
Grade 12
Submit proof of graduation from or enrolment in Grade 12, including one credit in each of the following:
Grade 12 English
Grade 12 Math
Many students have found successful completion of Grade 11 Accounting and Grade 12 Accounting to be very helpful in this program
If you provide proof of enrolment at time of application, your official final grades indicating successful completion must be submitted by July 15 for fall enrolment or by the deadline specified in your admission letter
If you are required to complete an English language assessment, do not submit your transcripts until requested to do so.
IELTS Academic - 6.5 Overall (L- 6.5, S - 6.5, R - 6.5, W - 6.0)
TOEFL iBT - 80 Overall (L- 20, S - 20, R - 19, W - 21)
Duolingo - Minimum Overal Score of 115 Required.

Learn to manage business operations and deliver exceptional customer service across the food, beverage and accommodation sectors. Hotel and Restaurant Management is a specialization program. Students interested in this program must apply to and complete the first common year of the Hospitality and Tourism Management program. Through the Hotel and Restaurant Management program, you’ll develop the specialized management, business and service skills you need to excel in the food, beverage and accommodation sector. In this program, you’ll explore advanced management, menu and room planning, accounting, marketing and customer service techniques. You’ll also build food preparation and mixology skills and expand your restaurant service and hospitality experience through practical learning labs, group projects and co-op work experiences.<br><br>After completing Hospitality and Tourism Management’s first common year (Terms 1 to 3), you can specialize in Hotel and Restaurant Management. In this program, you will develop the professional skills needed to work in food, drink and accommodation services across the hospitality industry. Start your second-year specialization program and build fundamental restaurant management, menu planning, accounting and marketing skills. Build advanced, employer-sought skills in mixology, restaurant service and hotel management while completing a collaborative hospitality management project. Complete a final co-op placement focused on Hotel and Restaurant Management to build crucial work experience and industry connections.
