IB Diploma Program (IBDP) Completed IB Diploma, Minimum predicted IB Diploma score of 30, not including EE/TOK/CAS bonus points. 30 Advanced Credits are awarded for the completion of the IBDP, including specific exemptions for individual HL and SL exams completed with a score of 5 or higher. Normally have completed 12 years of formal schooling and received a secondary school credential that would permit you access to university in that country. If you are studying at or have graduated from secondary school in a country where secondary school finishes after only 11 years of formal schooling your application will be evaluated on an individual basis. Minimum average required varies depending upon curriculum followed; transcripts are reviewed on an individual basis.

The Department provides students with theoretical and methodological tools and substantive insights which can assist them in understanding social life, social organization, and action. Our programs are designed to provide students with a broad intellectual and sociological background which will help prepare them for a variety of careers and for advanced study at graduate school. Having relatively few requirements within the Major, we allow students substantial flexibility in meeting individual intellectual pursuits. We offer a minor, major, or honours in Sociology as well as three programs that allow students to concentrate their studies. Students are encouraged to participate in the Experiential Learning program which is linked to their academic field of studies and involves course work and placement in an organization.
