High school: High School applicants must present five Grade 12 level courses for admission. Included in these five courses, applicants must present the required subjects for their intended program of choice. The specific courses required for your program count towards your Group A courses. The additional subject(s) which may be presented for admission include the following courses from Group A, B, or C.
High School/Secondary and/or Post-secondary (transferable to MRU) courses
2 years of full-time study in English (see list of English-speaking countries below) and English Language Arts 30 1 (equivalent)
TOEFL iBT - 86 (min. 20 in each of four sections)
IELTS - 6.5 (min. 5.5 on each band)

The Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership major contributes to Alberta's social and economic health. The support of the health and wellness of Albertans occurs by generating competent, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic facilitators of contact with our natural world. Graduates have skills and knowledge in tourism, business, sociocultural heritage, and outdoor leadership that allow them to contribute to the vast tourism sector in Alberta. These graduates are prepared to provide leadership and strong contributions to the growing eco and adventure tourism sectors.<br>Open a world of opportunity for yourself in this unique program that explores the theoretical and practical applications of sustainable tourism, socio-cultural heritage, outdoor adventure programming and facilitation, entrepreneurship, leadership and communication. Gain valuable foundational skills in backpacking, canoeing, cross-country and backcountry skiing, kayaking, mountain biking, wilderness survival and rock climbing.
