The application process has two major components:
Completion of the application form required by the UNC Graduate School.
Completion of the application forms required by the Department of Exercise & Sport Science and your area of specialization.
Please take particular note of the following very important items!
All required forms both those required by the Graduate School and the Department of EXSS must be uploaded/submitted to the GRADUATE SCHOOL not to EXSS.
Do not send, upload, or submit any completed forms to the Department of Exercise & Sport Science.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU COMPLETE ALL FORMS BEFORE CLICKING THE SUBMIT BUTTON. After you click the SUBMIT button you will NOT be able to access your application to make revisions and/or to add forms you failed to submit. A bachelor's degree (based on a four-year curriculum) completed before graduate study begins or its international equivalent with an accredited institution an average grade of B (cumulative GPA 3.0) or better. One unofficial transcript from each university attended must be uploaded within the application. All unofficial transcripts must be uploaded to your application in order for your application to be reviewed. Please do not mail transcripts as part of your admission application, we only accept unofficial uploads for application evaluation. If you are offered admission, one official transcript for each university attended will be required prior to the first day of the term. IELTS -7.0 , TOEFL IBT- 90

课程简介
The graduate specialization in Exercise Physiology is designed to introduce and train students to pursue research careers in exercise physiology related fields. With the knowledge gained in our program, our students could potentially pursue careers in the fitness/wellness industry, including commercial, corporate, and hospital fitness centers, as well as in clinical settings. The program provides students with advanced understanding of how the physiological constructs are applied to exercise in different populations and environments. During the program our students develop laboratory techniques and acquires laboratory skills that assist them with their overall preparation to conduct their research projects.<br><br>Our program also provides our students with the knowledge base to act as a liaison between the medical community and the layperson regarding the health implications of exercise. Students in our program not only meet the University requirements for graduation, but also obtain the knowledge and skill sets required to pass national clinical and fitness/ strength training related certification exams with a variety of professional organizations.<br><br>Many graduate students have presented their master and doctoral theses at the American College of Sports Medicine National and Regional Meetings, as well as other professional meetings.
