You must include the following: Letter of Intent Professional Resume/CV 3 Letters of Recommendation Foundational Coursework Checklist A baccalaureate degree from an accredited university or college or the equivalent academic preparation at a foreign university as determined by the appropriate campus authority (i.e., the Office of International Education). Good standing at the last institution attended. Grade point average of 2.5 or above in the last 60 semester (or 90 quarter) units attempted, independent of when the baccalaureate was granted, excluding lower-division courses or courses taken in extension (except in adjunct enrollment at CSULB in the upper-division level) after obtaining the baccalaureate degree. Department Criteria A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with a major in Kinesiology or the equivalent (e.g., Physical Education). Students with a baccalaureate degree in another field may be admitted into the graduate program provided they have the foundation (i.e., coursework and/or work experience) appropriate for the selected Option, as determined by the Option Coordinator. Students without such foundation may be required to take additional units of upper-division undergraduate coursework. All foundational coursework must be completed before Advancing to Candidacy, which is a major step in the graduate school process.
