A bachelor's that emphasizes mathematics for teaching. UMass Boston's Mathematics BA provides broad math education with a focus on the development of math ideas and math reasoning. Students who are interested in teaching math, math education, developing educational software or other educational tools for math might consider this program.<br><br>Degree Requirements consist of the Core Requirement, the Concentration Requirement and the Capstone Requirement. (Additional requirements for the General BA degree are also listed under Concentration Requirement.) Except for the Concentration Requirement, these requirements are common to all concentrations and to the general BA degree.
