UTSA's Statistics and Data Science degree will teach you to collect, organize and interpret numerical information to answer questions in nearly every aspect of modern life. Youll apply statistical principles toward obtaining and processing information to make educated decisions in the face of uncertainty. After graduating, youll be able to use these methods to solve complex questions in business, government and science. This can lead to professional careers in a variety of areas such as clinical research, quality control, corporate planning, financial analysis, and government agencies requiring advanced quantitative skills.<br>The mission of the Department of Management Science and Statistics is to offer both undergraduate and graduate educational programs that are of high quality and meet the changing needs of the global community, to provide a supportive learning environment for students, to foster the success of our students in their professional careers, and to create an academic environment that stresses excellence in teaching, intellectual contributions, and service.
