课程简介

Mathematics is a highly creative field, combining logic and precision with intuition and imagination, and is a powerful tool for solving practical problems. Students discover the creative side of the subject and see how mathematics is used to solve important problems. This major can lead to rewarding careers in government and industry and also prepares students for graduate study in mathematics or statistics. The B.A. degree program is designed for students who desire to further study mathematics with a flexible approach in the choice of courses. It is similar to the B.S. degree in mathematics, but does not feature a particular concentration. It has a smaller core of required courses and more electives. It is particularly suitable for transfer students who wish to major in mathematics.
