To be eligible for admission into the master's program in Applied Mathematics, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Official transcripts detailing course work from all colleges and universities you have attended. If you send transcripts directly to DePaul, they must be in a sealed envelope with the official registrar's stamp across the envelope flap.
An optional personal statement of approximately 200-300 words describing your goals and how they fit with the program is strongly encouraged.
To be considered English language proficient, the College of Science and Health requires a score of at least 80 on the iBT TOEFL with a minimum score of 17 on each section, at least 550 on the paper-based TOEFL, or at least 6.5 on the IELTS. While all applicants who meet the college minimum requirements will be guaranteed consideration, the Applied Mathematics admissions committee prefers scores of at least 96 on the TOEFL iBT, 243 on the computer-based test, or 590 on the paper-based test. A minimum of 7.5 on the IELTS may also be submitted for this requirement. GPA - 2.5

The tools and methods of Applied Mathematics are in demand wherever quantitative analysis is used for strategic decision-making. The MS in Applied Mathematics gives you the expertise you need to use those tools and methods in business, industry or government. It also provides a solid foundation for those interested in pursuing a PhD.<br><br>The MS in Applied Mathematics program has four areas of concentration:<br><br>Actuarial science<br>Applied and computational mathematics<br>Mathematical finance<br>Statistics<br><br>Courses are held weekday evenings on the Lincoln Park Campus. The program can be completed in two years by taking two courses per quarter.
